To tackle this topic, we're going to break the managed service providers (MSP for short) into three tiers.
On the low end are MSP's that almost exclusively compete on price. How can they be so inexpensive? Simple. They don't include a lot of services that either protect you or increase your productivity. So you might see their list of services be pretty slim. Their costs could be in the $50-$125 range per month per user.

On the high end are the top-of-the-line, premium platinum MSPs. They provide the white glove service and cater to the large clientele, often times with specific consulting type needs. They are on the cutting edge of technology, the thought leaders in the industry, and they deliver quality service. And that comes at a premium price. These services could be in the $250-$500 per month per user range.
Simplex-IT generally falls somewhere in the mid to high range. We'll never be the cheapest option, but we're usually not the most expensive either. A very rough budget estimate for us would be $150-250 per month per user.
