Q4 Goals for 2019
Time to finish up the year. Yup, it’s Q4.
For those of you joining us late, Simplex-IT is following the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) management framework. Part of that process involved a creation of goals for the different areas of the organization. We do these both annually and then quarterly, and we have longer term goals as well. Our management team meets weekly and (among other things) makes sure we’re appropriately on top of the quarterly goals (or “rocks” as they’re called in the EOS world). We also make occasional adjustments to them as needed. Then towards the end of the quarter we review the previous quarter and create new goals.Back in Q1 of 2018 I made the decision to “go public” with our quarterly goals. It created additional pressure on myself personally to focus on accomplishing the goals. Plus I thought it was a good way to stay appropriately transparent to our clients, vendors and friends.Without further ado, here are our Q4 goals for 2019.
Executive Goals
EOS Shared with staff. It’s time for the remainder of Simplex-IT employees to be brought into the wonderful world of EOS. Rocks, L-10’s VTO and more.CoMITs MSP Product defined. We’re considering formalizing a product to help other MSP develop their own CoMITs (Co-Managed IT services) practice. What will that product look like?
Operational Goals
Client Transactional Onboarding Document Completed. Part of the formalization of our new client onboarding process.CoMITs Services Documented. We need to solidify the RMM/PSA configurations for 1 CoMITs client base on new service definitions.
Marketing Goals
“Highway to Hello” Pieces done. New marketing pieces to assist with assessment and onboarding.Put on a CoMITs Seminar. Complete campaign aimed at Internal IT folks, set for November 14th.
Sales Goals
Review Shock and Awe Content. We need to revisit the Shock and Awe content and verify that the content is still appropriate and that we’re utilizing it properly.Improve Discovery Process. Improve documentation of the discovery process with potential clients in terms of Status Quo versus desired IT environments. You might notice that the number of Rocks is a bit down from last quarter. Well, for the first time we had our EOS coach (Kimberly Dyer from CultureShoc) worked with us this quarter to make sure we weren’t going rock-crazy.I think we should make some great progress this quarter (and we didn’t do too shabby last quarter either). We shall see.
