Welcome Adam Evans
Hello there! I’m Adam Evans and I’m the newest addition to the Simplex-IT team. I joined the team on April 15th 2019 as one of our Senior Network Engineers. Technology has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a small child I can remember spending time on the family computer playing games and seeing how things worked. As the family computer was replaced, I was fortunate enough to get the hand me downs and I did my best to try not to break them. Once I reached my late teens, I went to Maplewood Career Center and participated in their IT program. This was an excellent opportunity to learn the essential skills to begin my IT career. From there I got my first official technical job at a big box retailer’s PC department before moving onto another local MSP. I started off as a part time tier 1 help desk technician and after over 6 years I departed the company as chief operating officer. Over those six years I learned so much about the IT industry and the impact of technology on business operations. I’m excited to see how this evolves in the coming years and I look forward to helping our clients achieve their goals with technology as an aid.Outside of work I tend to have a wide variety of interests. I enjoy going to museums and just traveling, with my all-time favorite thus far being Kennedy Space Center. I’m also quite the space enthusiast and enjoy learning as much as I can about humanity’s adventures in the cosmos. I’ve even had the pleasure of meeting several astronauts and I’ve been fortunate enough to see a couple rocket launches (and one landing.) If you’re reading this and ever in the Simplex-IT office, you can see some neat items relating to all of that. I’m also an avid gamer with hundreds of hours logged in various games across PC and Xbox. After work I can usually be found either spending time with the people important to me, cooking, reading up on the latest in global affairs and technology trends, or even building a Lego set or two.I’m very excited to be part of the Simplex-IT and I look forward to applying & improving my skill set to better aid our client’s in their business goals.
