Simplex-IT announces Geek Raffle 2019 for Tuesday, December 3rd
The Malted Meeple to host Simplex-IT’s 9th annual charity event to raise money for Hattie Larlham
November 2, 2019; Stow, OH – Simplex-IT, a Managed Service Provider in IT support located in Stow, has officially announced its Geek Raffle 2019 charity. The Geek Raffle is now in its ninth year and grows stronger with each edition. Once again, the charity event will be held at the Malted Meeple to raise funds for Hattie Larlham.The annual charity event is free to attend with lunch provided by Simplex-IT. Attendees can purchase tickets for the Geek Raffle prizes for a mere $1 per ticket or $5 for six tickets. The money raised at the Geek Raffle is matched by Simplex-IT and donated to Hattie Larlham to support their programs and services.The non-profit charity supports children and adults with development disabilities. Hattie Larlham’s programs include residential services, medical services, work training services, respite and in-home care, and camp and play programs. Hattie Larlham’s programs always in need of additional funding and Simplex-IT has long been a supporter of the local charity through its donations.The 2018 edition of the Simplex-IT Geek Raffle saw the fund-raising event raise nearly $500. Simplex-IT matched the money raised through the raffle and donated $1,000 to Hattie Larlham. Simplex-IT wouldn’t be able to host the Geek Raffle without the event’s long-time hosts The Malted Meeple. The restaurant donates its time, service, and soft drinks each year.As every Geek Raffle, the Simplex-IT tech team has selected a number of great items to be raffled off. Each item has a “geek” theme and the prizes are a diverse selection of “nerdy” must-haves from Sci-Fi to computer tech. Last year’s event featured an authentic Star Trek Communicator. Simplex-IT's tech gurus will once again attempt to top themselves in the raffle prize department. This year’s prizes are sure to be even more exciting.The Geek Raffle 2019 will begin at 11:30 a.m. and end at 1:30 p.m. The event is free to attend, but guests should reserve a place as space is limited. The only cost for attendees is the purchase of raffle tickets, which Simplex-IT does encourage as all the money raised goes to a great local non-profit.
