Quick Recap of Zero Trust World (#zerotrustworld)

Zero Trust World was an excellent conference and it’s been great getting back out there with peers in the industry after 2 years of virtual conference.

I had a chance to catch up with some of our amazing partners (looking at you Liongard and CompTIA) but also got to meet plenty of new folks. I’m excited to spend more time looking into their solutions later this year.

Other than that, there were some great sessions about moving the needle to better secure our clients, and other great sessions about the compliance side of things. Even more exciting I got to spend some time learning and refining my hacker skills. After all, to better defend the environments of our clients, it’s important to understand how the bad guys can break into them.

I also had a chance to talk to our peers in the MSP and MSSP space. This was really rewarding because it helps validate some of our approaches to things and to learn how others have handled some of the challenges we’ve been facing.

Lastly, and on a deeply personal note – I had an opportunity to chat with some truly wonderful folks who have led the industry in security and compliance. As someone who has spent years teaching myself security best practices, compliance frameworks and how to achieve them there’s always been that feeling of impostor syndrome out there. To have a chance to discuss that with industry leaders was its own reward, but to also have them confirm that everything I’ve been working towards has been correct was a huge confidence boost.

End of the day, I’m excited and motivated to keep working through these objectives with our clients.
