Alternatives to 365

So, Microsoft 365, their pricing, their arrogance, their, their ughhh I want to, what?

Here’s the one most telling thing about Microsoft’s latest changes, things that they’ve done that have outraged the Microsoft partner community and Microsoft resellers. What’s plan B? And what I mean by that is not just what are you going to do with your clients? Are you going to have them go to Google Docs ?

I have yet to see any vendor who provides alternatives to 365 take advantage of this outrage in their marketing to say come to a better place than Microsoft 365. Nothing. Nada. Silence. Why is that? It’s because there isn’t one. There is no plan B.

There are alternatives but none of the alternatives are as flushed out, are as popular, are as implemented as Microsoft 365 with Office. Now am I going to start talking monopoly and unfair practice? No, Microsoft built this and it’s gotten this way because of investments and because of development and adoption by companies like us and our clients.

But I’ve never seen such outrage for a product mix without a vendor who’s providing an alternative their own private 365 hosting, or exchange hosting for example, where they’re not coming out and saying go away from the evil people and come to our services.

I haven’t seen that yet and I think that’s very telling.
