Is it too cliché to start out by saying where the heck did August go? Someone must have hit fast forward because I swear this month just flew by...
Have you caught on to the monthly special offers we started a few months back? What do you think? This month’s is one of my favorites, mainly because we get to give away more money to all of you! We have a really great referral program in place: For the month of September, we are DOUBLING our referral payout. That’s right. For this month only it’s $200 for each qualifying referral and $2,000 for each signed new client. You could almost buy a full tank of gas with a few of those. And don’t worry, you have my word that we’ll treat your referrals exactly how we would want to be treated. You know I HATE pushy strong arm sales tactics, so if it’s not a good fit, we’ll always part friends.

September brings some philanthropy opportunities to us here at Simplex-IT, in the most fun ways. We are sponsoring the Grape Falls & Craft Brews, an event benefitting the Riverfront Family YMCA's Annual Campaign on September 10th, as well as the 2nd Annual Cuyahoga Falls Fire Fighter’s Golf Outing on September 30th. Wine, beer, and golf… what a way to charity!
September does bring an end to our summer internship program in the sales and marketing department, and we sadly had to say farewell to our Marketing Intern, Camryn Lohmier. Camryn spent the summer with us learning all of our bad habits and probably rethinking her life choices. She’s also responsible for some of the really great social media graphics you may have seen recently and a little Bitmoji project that you’ll be seeing more of. She may be the first person that has ever made Bob look good! Camryn, thank you for spending you summer with us and we miss you already.

I hope you came out to our anniversary party at Quarter Up. We had a great turnout, lots of friends, family, clients, and some new faces that were friends by the end of the night. Save the date for next year and come celebrate with us, August 9th 2023!

About Patti Smerk, Sales and Marketing Director, Simplex-IT: Patti is a PMP (Project Management Professional) certification, has a BS in Computer Science and Information Systems, and an MBA with a focus on Project Management and Organizational Development. Patti “grew up” working in internal IT for a manufacturing company, everything from help desk to systems analyst, and then went on to tech training, and IT consulting for an IT firm. After that, Patti went into government consulting and big project management. She made the change to Simplex-IT when she wanted to work for a smaller, growing, company where she could make an impact, and annoy Bob on the daily.
