Information Technology has changed over the years, everyone knows that. But there has been significant shift in IT that’s been happening for decades, and nobody seems to be noticing. Except for Bob. The emphasis within the IT industry has been slowly shifting from Technology to Information. Back in the mid 70’s, there was a focus on the Technology, and not so much the information, so I call that the iT phase. Lower case I, Capital T. Probably 1995 – 2010.. Information and Technology were about the same, IT. But now.. Capital I lowercase t. Technology is moving forward, absolutely. But not at the pace the use of the information is.
