Sales and Marketing Coordinator Simplex-IT, located in Stow, Ohio, has an exciting career opportunity for a highly motivated entry level Sales and Marketing Coordinator. In this role, the right attitude, enthusiasm, and passion for marketing are at least as important as experience, if not more. We are looking for an energetic go-getter who’s not afraid to jump right in, learn the ropes, and quickly become a key marketing resource (we’ll want your opinion in our small, but fast-growing company).Simplex-IT is a Case Weatherhead 100 Upstart winner for two years and a leading Managed Services Provider on the MSP 501 Global list, providing IT support solutions to small-medium businesses since 2007. We are focused on helping our small to medium business clients succeed by understanding their unique Information Technology requirements and developing a relationship with Simplex-IT to care for their IT needs.Our Marketing Department is focused on creating unique and fun ways to differentiate ourselves in the marketplace. We send our customers pies on Pi Day. We send new customers cookies. We hold monthly free webinars. We hold Geek Raffle fund raisers. Quarterly lunch and learn seminars. Picnics. Our marketing involves dollar coins, rubber ducks, virtual reality toys and a book the CEO (Bob Coppedge) wrote “A CEO’s Survival Guide to Information Technology.” The term we use is we’re “the Cool Guys in IT” because of our low-key no-hassle approach to building relationships. We like to have fun, and build it into each level of our business. As the Sales and Marketing Coordinator, you will report to our Marketing Director and be responsible for:Assisting with new, and executing existing marketing campaigns:

  • Maintain schedule of campaigns and get them out the door according to the schedule
  • Coordinate with other employees, vendors, printers, etc. to get the campaigns together
  • Send out and sometimes personally deliver marketing materials
  • Respond quickly and effectively to inquiries and / or requests for materials
  • Provide support in the planning and execution of both internal and external events, including outings, functions, conventions, trade shows and other industry / association events.
  • Develop working knowledge of systems and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database. Assist with entry into systems and reporting

Event Planning:

  • Create new events on website event calendar
  • Send e-mail broadcasts for event reminders and invitations
  • Maintain attendee list
  • Order food and refreshments
  • Prepare room and materials
  • Production of webinar and seminar marketing materials (NOT creation of content)
  • Send “Thank You” follow-up correspondence

Assisting with sales follow-up activities:

  • Follow-up activities such as emailing, calling, and mailing leads for sales
  • Maintain oversight of outstanding leads and activities
  • Coordinate new client gift delivery

Other:

  • Post articles to our blog according to schedule (Content provided)
  • Maintenance and inventory management of all marketing collateral (brochures, postcards, promotional items, etc.)
  • Create and edit graphics for use in various marketing campaigns
  • Assist in answering the sales phoneline
  • Assist in putting together e-newsletter
  • Attend networking events and get to know other businesses within the community
  • Follow existing process of documenting and tracking individual opportunities and campaigns through defined steps

The right candidate could grow into assuming additional responsibilities, including:

  • Social media marketing and management of social media accounts
  • Updating, checking and managing the functionality of our website
  • Campaign management in InfusionSoft
  • Developing new marketing campaigns

The ideal candidate possesses the following skills and experience:

  • Is very detail-oriented, highly organized, and a go getter
  • Works hard but likes to have fun while getting things done
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills; is a naturally gifted communicator
  • Is very willing and eager to learn and grow, take on new responsibilities
  • Is passionate about marketing and looking to make a difference in a small company
  • Has strong Microsoft Office skills - a must
  • Follows through and gets things done
  • Self-starter and multi-tasker with a solid work ethic and the ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Has the mindset to set goals and then take action to fulfill them
  • College degree in marketing, business, or equivalent a plus, but not required
  • Experience in marketing in some capacity a plus, but not required
  • Familiarity with WordPress and InfusionSoft a plus, but not required
