Bob & Patti Attend Greater Cleveland Partnership’s All In Leadership Event
The Greater Cleveland Partnership’s (GCP) All In Leadership Event brought together over 300 political and business leaders at The Madison in Cleveland’s AsiaTown to discuss their visions for the upcoming years.
Panel discussion participants included County Executive-elect Chris Ronayne, Senator Matt Dolan, Congresswoman Shonetel M. Brown, Cleveland Council President Blaine A. Griffin and State Senator Jerry C. Cirino, and it was MC’d by Marty McGann, General Counsel and Executive Vice President, Advocacy and Strategy at GCP. It was great to hear that plans for the future include job creation and workforce development for the state and the northeast Ohio local area specifically.
After the speaker’s session there was time for hors d'oeuvres and networking. We had the opportunity to catch up with some friends we haven’t seen in a while and got to meet some new friends. That’s the fun thing about events like this, most people are open to introductions and new conversations. A big part of our discussions were around workforce development, staffing and internship/apprentice programs for small-mid sized businesses. We are especially excited to see what we can do to help move this much need initiative forward. Simplex-IT has always tried to support internship programs through the local schools, but it hasn’t always been easy to find them over the years. We are hoping this initiative connects some of the missing pieces to make things easier for businesses wanting to implement something of the sort.
Many thanks to the Greater Cleveland Partnership for putting on this amazing event, and to all the speakers for giving us some valuable information about what the future may hold. We are looking forward to the next GCP event!
